Bill Simmons Claims Zion Williamson's Current Playing Weight is Over 300 Pounds
By Scott Rogust

The debut of Zion Williamson was significantly delayed due to knee surgery this past summer. Even as the talk of him needing to lose weight grew in volume, Williamson silenced those discussions immediately upon arrival, as he's been lighting it up for the New Orleans Pelicans while leading them to a playoff push.
However, the topic of Williamson's girth has resurfaced again, thanks in part to Celtics fan and Twitter snark ringleader Bill Simmons.
During the latest episode of the BS Podcast on The Ringer, Simmons claimed that he heard from a reliable source that Williamson is weighing in at over 300 pounds while doing all this damage.

Who knows if Simmons was given legit news, or was just being toyed with. If it's accurate, then what Williamson has accomplished thus far in his rookie campaign is even more impressive.
Through 12 games this season, Zion is lighting up the stat sheet. The 2019 first overall pick is averaging 22.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. Additionally, he's sporting an impressive 58.0 field goal percentage.
Oh, and as of Monday, the Pelicans are 3.5 games behind the Memphis Grizzlies for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Zion is averaging;
22.8 PPG - 7.2 RPG - 2.3 APG
58 FG% - 41 3P% - 28 MPG
No matter what Williamson is tipping the scales at, the Pelicans aren't complaining, as his presence is paying dividends for the team thus far.
