Bills Can Complete Their Offseason With This Sneaky Move
By Emily Adams
The Buffalo Bills have had an unquestionably good offseason. They got stud wide receiver Stefon Diggs in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings and picked up several solid weapons for QB Josh Allen in the draft. However, the offensive line is not quite at the same level as the rest of the offense.
Don't get us wrong — the Bills' O-line isn't bad, but they lack cohesiveness. They had huge turnover last season and only returned one starter from the 2018 lineup. This year, all five starters from last season will be back, but guard Larry Warford could be the upgrade that puts all of the pieces together.
The Bills really don't have any standouts protecting Allen, and Warford has been to the Pro Bowl three times in just six seasons in the league. He also has experience in six playoff games, including two NFC Championships. The Bills haven't made it past the Wild Card round since 1995, so Warford could be the signing that pushes them over the hump.
Allen was the third-most pressured quarterback in the NFL last year, and Warford would be the perfect addition to build up a strong interior. The Bills offense has also drastically changed over the past several years, so Warford would be learning and developing as much as many of the returning players.
Plenty of teams have eyes on Warford right now, especially the New York Jets, so the Bills would have to move fast to snatch him up. It's a worthwhile move to have a player with his resume in front of your QB every week.
