VIDEO: Bills LB Lorenzo Alexander Announces Retirement After Loss to Texans
By Jerry Trotta

Buffalo Bills buffs will have to swallow another tough pill on top of their team's gut-wrenching overtime loss to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card round. Linebacker Lorenzo Alexander announced his retirement while speaking with reporters at his locker after the game. Though he's calling it a career, the 36-year-old fully intends on carving out a role with the organization.

This is class to the fullest extent, and we'd expect nothing less from the two-time Pro Bowler.
In his final NFL game, Alexander compiled three tackles. He finishes the 2019 campaign, his 15th in the league, with 58 tackles (36 solo), two sacks, nine passes defended, one forced fumble, and nine quarterback hits.
Alexander disclosed that this settlement was made a while back, and that it ultimately came down to being there for his kids.

Alexander went undrafted in 2005 out of St. Mary's College, and went on to play for the Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, and Oakland Raiders before landing in Buffalo in 2016.
In four seasons with the Bills, Alexander appeared in all possible games (64).
He was a viable servant to the league, but more importantly, an upstanding individual. We wish him nothing but the best in his post-NFL endeavors.
