Bills LT Foolishly Calls Out Patriots Defense Ahead of Week 4 Battle

Make no mistake about it, folks, the New England Patriots boast the NFL's best defense through three weeks. They are allowing just 199 total yards per game and have yet to concede an offensive touchdown through 12 quarters of play, maintaining their behavior from last year's Super Bowl.

Maintaining their momentum, the Pats head into a highly-touted AFC East matchup on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, another 3-0 team that is certainly feeling themselves.

If there's one thing that Buffalo should not do ahead of the showdown, it's fuel New England with more motivation than they already have. Well, Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins apparently doesn't care if he pokes the bear.

“Once they play us and if it doesn’t change then that’s when y'all could start talking," said Dawkins, about New England's vaunted defense. "You guys have seen Josh Allen, our coaches, really all of us, we’re just on a different mission. We have something going and I don’t really care who it is that we play."

The third-year pro didn't hold back his admiration of Tom Brady, but he believes that sophomore gunslinger Josh Allen has the tools to defeat football's giants.

“I love 12 and I respect his game and him as a player, but I got Josh Allen,” Dawkins said. “That’s really all I’m worried about is keeping that kid clean and doing whatever I need to do this week to make myself better so I can let that kid play as free and fluent as he needs to."

Mmm...k, then.

We respect the confidence, Dawkins, but you're awfully confident in your Bills, who haven't beat the Pats since October of 2016. And that Tom Brady guy is 30-3 against your squad in his career.

Something tell us that Psycho Tom and Co. might just put the beatdown on Buffalo on Sunday, and it will absolutely have something to do with Dawkins' foolish optimism. There was just no reason for him to come public with it.
