Blazers' Evan Turner Completely Owned an Instagram Troll That Came at Him With NSFW Criticism
By Sean Facey
Evan Turner was not in the mood for internet trolls after the Warriors swept his Blazers out of the NBA Playoffs.
The nine-year veteran, clearly in a certain type of mood, absolutely owned an Instagram troll who suggested that Portland should trade him. His response was authentically NSFW:
That pretty much speaks for itself.
Though he may not have defused the situation, he's not wrong to push back against criticism like this. Turner has devoted almost a decade of his life to playing in the NBA, and he certainly made real contributions to the Blazers' success of late, particularly in the hard-fought series against the Nuggets in the second round that went the a seven games.
He may not have been able to help his team overcome the vicious Warriors in the West finals, but chalking up himself, Mo Harkless, and Al-Farouq Aminu as failures or "weak" is out of bounds.
At the end of the day, Turner is still a well-paid member of a team that went noticeably further in the playoffs than most critics assumed. IG trolls are just going to have to live with that.
If there's one thing we can learn from this, it's that when you go at Evan Turner, you'd better have your bases covered. If you don't, he'll dish it right back at you with 10 times the savagery.
