Blue Jays Lineup
Eric Sogard leads things off for the road team, followed by Vlad Guerrero Jr, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Teoscar Hernández. Randall Grichuk bats fifth, ahead of Freddie Galvis, Danny Jansen, Billy McKinney and Brandon Drury.
Rookie right-hander Trent Thornton will be making his 16th start of the season tonight against Boston, and on the season he holds a 2-5 record with a 4.36 ERA and 80 strikeouts over 76.1 innings. Thornton is coming off an excellent start against Houston where he logged 6.2 shutout innings with seven strikeouts.
Red Sox Lineup
Mookie Betts is in the leadoff spot once again, while Andrew Benintendi and Xander Bogaerts follow. J.D. Martinez hits cleanup, ahead of Brock Holt and Michael Chavis. Jackie Bradley Jr. is batting seventh, ahead of Eduardo Nuñez who replaces the ailing Rafael Devers at third base. Sandy León rounds up the order.
We all know Chris Sale didn't begin the season like the ace we've become accustomed to seeing, but he's really turned it around owns a 2.53 ERA over his last seven starts, including a 0.82 ERA in three June outings.
