By Brendan Azoff

The St. Louis Blues have signed both Jordan Nolan and Nolan Stevens to one-year, two-way contracts worth the NHL minimum $700,000. The two players mostly saw action in the minors in the Stanley Cup champs' 2018-19 campaign, but they both could have an impact on the Blues' NHL roster next season, as they will likely be called up at numerous points.

The move not only allows the Blues to lock up two key depth pieces for next season but it also gives them a plethora pf Jordans on their NHL and AHL roster. They now have Jordan Nolan, Jordan Binnington, Jordan Kyrou, and Jordan Schmaltz, as well as the amazing Jordan Nolan/Nolan Stevens name combination.
The Blues have four Jordans in camp: Kyrou, Schmaltz, Binnington and Nolan. They also have Jordan Nolan and Nolan Stevens, but missed a chance by not signing someone named Steven Jordan.

Nolan is better known for his time on the Los Angeles Kings, where he played a pivotal role on the fourth line, hoisting the Stanley Cup in 2012 and '14. In 375 career games, Nolan has registered 347 penalty minutes, which is a rather impressive feat.
Stevens is a 22-year-old, and after playing four seasons at Northeastern University, he registered 18 points in 59 games with the San Antonio Rampage. The two signees will be key contributors to the Blues' AHL affiliate during the 2019-20 campaign.
