Carl Gunnarsson is expected to be out again for St. Louis after suffering an upper-body injury before the series began. He is listed as day-to-day but is not expected to return for Game 2.
A second-period brace by Timo Meier and another two goals from Logan Couture set the foundation for a 6-3 win over the Blues at SAP Arena. Meier also added an assist in the victory.
San Jose has been lucky to even get this far, having earned two massive breaks from officials in each of its series clinching Game 7 wins this postseason, coming against the Colorado Avalanche and Las Vegas Golden Knights.
The Sharks would love to take a 2-0 series lead before they make the trip to St. Louis for Game's 3 and 4, which are set for May 15 and 17 respectively.

It's worth noting that the team's cities are separated by more than 2,000 miles. It will be interesting to see if the team's are impacted by their heavy travel schedule as the series reaches its later games.
