Bo Bichette Makes Blue Jays History by Extending Hit Streak to Open His Career
By Adam Weinrib
Bo Bichette made it quite clear to the Toronto Blue Jays that he believed he'd made all necessary adjustments blocking his path to the big leagues.
It seems like...he was right?
Bichette's first nine games have been exemplary with the Jays, and he's officially in the history books after Tuesday's effort -- his third-inning single gives him nine straight contests with a knock to open his tenure in the bigs.
Nicely done, kid!
The third member of the Jays' famous sons trio (joining Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Cavan Biggio) has gotten things going a bit swifter than those other two competitors; he's hitting .417, and nine of his hits have gone for extra bases (six doubles and a trio of dingers).
Based on his high-intensity speed, we're sure he'll add a triple in due time.
Even cooler? His father Dante is based in Tampa, and has schlepped to the Trop for these contests.
He'll be a nervous dad for quite a while; it's clear the younger Bichette is swingin' to stay.
