Bo Bichette Shutdown for Rest of Season Due to Concussion
By Chris Pyo
Bo Bichette has been a rookie sensation for the Toronto Blue Jays this season.
Unfortunately, Blue Jays fans won't be able to see him in action again until spring training begins, as he's been shut down for the season after suffering a concussion on Sept. 19 against the Baltimore Orioles.
In his two months on the Blue Jays, Bichette provided the team with a huge spark, batting .311 with a .571 slugging percentage and a .930 OPS, making him one of the most productive Blue Jays batters on the season.
The son of former MLB pro Dante Bichette will be teaming up again next year with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Cavan Biggio to form a three-headed monster for the Blue Jays made up of the sons of former MLB stars. So far, the kids have been holding their own in the majors.
Bichette has delivered a myriad of memorable moments for the Blue Jays this year, even as they've languished in the AL East along with the Orioles. This walk-off home run against the Yankees will have any Blue Jays fan excited for his 2020 campaign.
Here's to Bo Bichette having a full recovery from his concussion and lifting the Blue Jays out of the AL East to postseason relevancy next year.
