VIDEO: Former MLB Manager Bobby Valentine is Singing 'Meet the Mets' on Social Media and This Needs to Stop
By Jack Murphy
With the MLB season on hold, baseball fans are wondering what they'll do in order to pass the time without their beloved sport. While some have the opportunity to catch up on their reading or play MLB The Show with their pals to get their baseball fix, former New York Mets manager has decided to film his awkward rendition of the Metropolitans theme song, "Meet the Mets."
The former Mets skipper pranced around showing off memorabilia of his team. While Valentine has some cool items, he certainly did not need to sing and bizarrely dance around the room. Who is even filming this?! They told him it was a good idea to post, too?! There's no shot he knows how to use social media.
There we go.
Valentine was the Mets manager from 1996-2002 and he led them to an NL pennant in 2000. He won 536 games in the seven seasons he spent with the ball club.
We're guessing he has extremely fond memories of the Mets, which inclined him to post this. After all, he doesn't have many highlights with the Boston Red Sox.
