Boston Fans Will Love Alex Cora's Prediction for Bruins in Game 7
By Sean Facey
The Red Sox might not be playing up to snuff at the moment, but their hockey counterparts at the TD Garden certainly are. With the final game of the NHL season set to take place in Boston Wednesday night, Alex Cora was asked for his pick, and Boston fans will absolutely love it.
The Boston Red Sox skipper has the Bruins taking home Lord Stanley's Cup in a 4-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues in Game 7. And who are we to doubt him?
It's not out of the realm of possibility for the Bruins. In their three wins in the Stanley Cup Finals thus far, they've scored a total of 16 goals, 12 of which came in 7-2 and 5-1 victories in St. Louis.
It also helps that Matt Grzelcyk is cleared to play. The Bruins defenseman hasn't been on the ice since Game 2, when he was the recipient of a brutal hit from Oskar Sundqvist.
The Blues aren't going to go down without a fight, though. Throughout the entire season, they've shown tremendous capability for battle, and there's no reason to think that that will change with everything on the line in Game 7.
It's shaping up to be a battle of the ages.
All that's left for Boston fans to do is cheer their team on and hope that Alex Cora is clairvoyant.
