Boston Mayor Sends Heartwarming Letter to Blues Superfan Laila Anderson
By Charles Nason

By now, most people know of St. Louis Blues superfan Laila Anderson. Throughout the playoffs she captured the hearts of all hockey fans as she cheered and supported her Blues on their journey to win their first ever Stanley Cup title.
After her St. Louis Blues took down the Boston Bruins in seven games, the Mayor of Boston made sure to show her the respect and love that she earned from the Boston faithful.

What a gesture. Anderson reminded us that hockey is much more than just a game and that certainly struck a chord here in this letter from Mayor Martin Walsh.
Walsh and the city of Boston reaching out to congratulate Laila and invite her back to the city shows true sportsmanship as well.

Hopefully Laila and the Blues are still living up their Stanley Cup victory, which will be remembered forever among the city and franchise. It was a legendary run to a championship and Mayor Walsh certainly knew that.
