Boston Scouting Director Starts GoFundMe for Fellow Red Sox Scout Whose Parents and Sister Died in Helicopter Crash
By Brendan Balsamo

Sunday's fatal helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. took nine overall victims, including Kobe and Gianna Bryant. Along with the pilot and three other people, the lives of John and Keri Altobelli and their daughter Alyssa were claimed by the deadly accident.
In the wake of the horrifying crash, two Altobelli's were left without a family: Lexi and J.J., a scout for the Boston Red Sox. In assistance of the two, Red Sox scouting director, Paul Toboni, created a GoFundMe page for them in order to help financially.

J.J. is a Red Sox scout. Lexi still needs to go to college. Please help: https://t.co/SB0o8w4K53
Lexi is still in high school, yet to endure the college route that ends up leaving many in massive debt. This sort of thing is hard enough with a family to back the student up, but with both parents and a younger sister perishing, paying for college is unimaginably difficult.

Fortunately, for the Altobelli's that are left to mourn, the world is out there to help them. Thanks to Toboni, in an hour the page had already raised over $8,000 in its pursuit of a $500,000 goal for the pair of grieving siblings.
The 2 in the middle lost their mom, dad, and sister today.

I’m sick for them. Literally nauseous. May they be surrounded 24/7 by the supernatural peace only absolve at a time like this. RIP John Altobelli, Alyssa, and Keri pic.twitter.com/CST4xPDoEA
We can only hope that Lexi and J.J. can grieve in peace, and the public continues showing tremendous support. Please donate here if you can.
