If you're a Boston Red Sox fan, your team's race for the 2018 World Series title might feel particularly far away. Not only are Alex Cora and Mookie Betts no longer around, but baseball itself is on an effectively indefinite hiatus in these days of COVID-19.

Fortunately, WEEI sports radio is throwing the Fenway faithful a lifeline. Every night this week, the network will air playoff games from that famous Red Sox championship run.

Additionally, Red Sox TV network NESN will air a series of notable home openers at Fenway from years past.

On Monday at 7 p.m., WEEI will feature Boston's decisive Game 4 victory over the rival New York Yankees in the ALDS. The next four days run from Game 2 through Game 5 of the ALDS against the Houston Astros.

In that Championship Series, Houston took Game 1 before Alex Cora's boys went on a major tear, scoring a combined 27 runs over the next four games to win the AL pennant and vault right into the World Series, where they'd prevail against the Los Angeles Dodgers, likewise in five games.

No, it's not quite the real thing. But, until Benintendi and Bogaerts are Devers are tearing it up at Fenway live and in the flesh once again, a Boston sports diehard could do a whole lot worse than re-living the 2018 postseason pitch by pitch.
