Bradley Beal Takes Hilarious Shot at Jayson Tatum and Duke While Talking About New G-League Trend
By Jerry Trotta
It's wild to think that Instagram Live is now our most valuable source for NBA content during these days of quarantine. Friday night was much of the same as stars Jayson Tatum and Bradley Beal teamed up to reveal the results of their incredible coronavirus relief efforts.
The Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards studs helped raise $290,000 for Feeding America and the St. Louis Area Foodbank. Additionally, they brainstormed a new plan to donate 1,000 pizzas to local healthcare workers.
After that, Tatum and Beal dabbled in a debate about the growing trend that's seeing star high school prospects skip college in favor of the G League.
What proceeded that conversation-starter was utter hilarity. Unfortunately for Tatum, he was absolutely bodied by Beal for claiming that Duke is a "stand-up" program.
You ain't gonna fool an NBA veteran that went to school in the SEC!
There's been widespread assumption (along with evidence) that college players are illegally compensated by schools so that they choose to sign with them. Beal casually roasting Tatum, who played with the Blue Devils for one season in 2016-17, is as good as it gets in terms of poking fun at the immoral practices.
