Brandon Aiyuk officially requests a trade away from the 49ers

You had a feeling that things were going to get to this point for the San Francisco 49ers. For a while, stud wideout Brandon Aiyuk has been asking the front office for a monster extension, and his numbers surely back up his request.
However, the two sides have failed to meet in the middle, which has been frustrating for the wideout. So much in fact, he's ready for a fresh start elsewhere. According to insider Mike Garafolo, Aiyuk has officially requested a trade. However, SF doesn't appear set to let him go.

Despite a recent meeting, the Niners haven’t been willing to engage in negotiations since May so Aiyuk has respectfully asked out. pic.twitter.com/EWxYMvsHch
Aiyuk wants to be paid like a stud receiver, but the 49ers haven't put an offer on the table that he's happy enough with. Per Josina Anderson, the Patriots have tried trading for Aiyuk, but they were quickly shut down.
Soon enough, the 49ers are going to have to figure things out, otherwise it's safe to assume Aiyuk will be holding out from attending training camp.
