Brandon Morrow Somehow Suffered Another Injury After Finally Getting Healthy and Will Miss up to 2 Weeks
By Sean Facey
It just seems to be one step forward, two steps back for Brandon Morrow.
The poor Chicago Cubs reliever managed to successfully recover from the chest issues that were nagging at him earlier in spring training, only to suffer a mild tear in his calf that could force him to miss up to 14 days of action.
It just seems like the guy can't get anything to go right for him. An unprecedented slew of injuries have kept him off of the mound since July of 2018, and just when it seemed like he had it all figured out, he's been hit with multiple ailments to start the season.
When he has pitched, he's been fantastic. The right-hander owns a 2.04 ERA since the start of the 2015 season
Last year, it was elbow injuries that proved to be his undoing. This year, it seems like every other part of the 37-year-old's body is out to get him.
Hopefully he can make a full recovery and get back to pitching before another injury crops up and keeps him off the field even longer.
