When you think of spots meltdowns, baseball fans may be quick to think of George Brett during the infamous 1983 pine tar incident between the Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees. But perhaps there was no freakout more memorable (and hilarious) than that of Atlanta Braves minor league manager Phillip Wellman back on June 1, 2007. After disagreeing with a strike call, the Chattanooga Lookouts skipper got in the face of home plate umpire Brent Rice, ultimately resulting in his ejection. But boy, did Wellman ever make the most of it, putting together a master class in theatrical grievance.

Cover home plate with dirt? Check.

Steal second and third base? Check.

Lob a rosin bag like a hand grenade at said ump? Check.

Throw out every single official on the field? Check!

This tirade went viral across the world, and for good reason. We've seen memorable meltdowns from managers at the big league level, but even Lou Piniella never turned in a bravura performance like Wellmans, the king of baseball blow-ups.

This moment, sadly, only makes us miss baseball even more.
