Braves Free Agent Predictions
By Mark Powell

The Atlanta Braves face a tumultuous offseason, in which upper management will be forced to decide if their young corps of Ronald Acuña, Ozzie Albies and Mike Soroka is ready to take the next step past NL East contention and towards a World Series championship.
Atlanta's offseason could go in many different directions, but trust Alex Anthopoulos to somehow surprise us all, while still putting together a sufficient ball-club eager to bring a World Series to the 404.

Braves Lose Out on Josh Donaldson Sweepstakes, But Sign Mike Moustakas
Josh Donaldson is tough to replace, but when the Braves gave him a prove-it deal last offseason -- and then the former MVP delivered -- Atlanta knew their chances of keeping him around were slim. Mike Moustakas, meanwhile, would be an excellent replacement. In 2019, Moose hit .254 with 35 home runs, and would produce in a talented Atlanta lineup.
Braves Sign Madison Bumgarner
If the Braves are truly serious about winning a World Series in 2020, they should go after Bumgarner. MadBum would be a great fit at the top of the Braves' rotation, and his postseason stats are that of legend. While last year's numbers leave much to be desired (9-9, 3.90 ERA), a year with the Braves development staff ought to help Bumgarner return to All-Star status with a fresh start.

Braves Sign Drew Pomeranz
The Braves have already signed Will Smith to a lucrative deal to sure up their bullpen. Yet, Anthopoulos' spending spree at the back end shouldn't stop there. Pomeranz, who made himself a lot of money with the Brewers towards the end of 2019, would be a great add to go along with Smith, Shane Greene and Mark Melancon.
