With September nearly here, the Braves continue to be one of the hottest teams in baseball. Well, they're about to get even stronger.

After missing around a month due to a foot injury, starting shortstop Dansby Swanson has been activated off the injured list and will return to the starting lineup to make some noise on Monday against the Colorado Rockies.

Welcome back, Mr. Swanson. Before going down with his injury, the 25-year-old infielder was batting .265 with 17 home runs and 57 RBI to his name. In addition, he had also posted seven stolen bases and scored 64 runs. But the difference-maker has been his defense, which was significantly missed during his absence.

Entering Monday's contest, Atlanta holds a six-game lead over the Nationals in the NL East standings. The Braves have also won eight of their last 10 games.

With Swanson fully healthy and ready to bring his power, speed and outstanding defense back to the table for Atlanta, it only spells trouble for the teams chasing them.

The Braves have big-time aspirations for this fall. Getting Swanson back on the diamond helps that cause immensely.
