VIDEO: Braves Singer Performs 'God Bless America' for Local Neighborhood During COVID-19 Pandemic
By Mark Powell
There are few bright spots in the sports world during the COVID-19 pandemic -- we have no games, no highlights, no inspiration. Thankfully, Braves opera singer Timothy Miller is providing us just that during these trying times. On Monday, Miller performed (from a safe distance) in his neighborhood in Marietta County, and broadcast it on social media for all to see. Trust us: this is exactly what you need right now.
It's not a Ronald Acuña home run, but we'll take it. Frankly, it's the small things.
Miller, who is a Georgia native, performs 'God Bless America' at most Braves home games. We're missing baseball season now more than ever, and Atlanta baseball fans are no exception. That makes this performance by Miller, to an audience of thousands on social media, all the more special.
Hopefully, baseball will be back sooner rather than later, and we can look forward to Miller's rendition at SunTrust Park this Summer.
