The Atlanta Braves have made a move to secure the strength of the bullpen for the next couple of years.
The Braves re-signed reliever Chris Martin to a deal worth $14 million over two seasons, keeping him in Atlanta through the 2021 season.

The consistent right-hander was solid all season last year, and was deadly accurate in the second half. Martin struck out 22 batters in 17.2 innings pitched while only walking one hitter after joining the Braves at the trade deadline.
The Braves have made it a clear goal this offseason to turn what was a weakness into a strength, signing Will Smith to go along with a bullpen that includes Chris Martin, Mark Melancon, and Shane Greene. That group is one of the deepest in the NL.

The 2019 Opening Day bullpen was: Arodys Vizcaino, Jonny Venters, Jesse Biddle, Chad Sobotka, Shane Carle, Wes Parsons, Josh Tomlin and Luke Jackson.@680TheFan
Martin suffered an injury in the playoffs, forcing him to miss some key games for Atlanta in October. Hopefully next year he'll be healthy during their postseason run.
The 33-year-old logged a 4.08 ERA across 20 appearances for the Braves last season, acting as one of the team's setup men.
