The Atlanta Braves are bringing back a familiar face to help provide some infield depth in 2020 after missing out on Josh Donaldson.
The Braves and veteran shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria have agreed to terms on a one-year, $1 million deal, per ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Hechavarria played for the Mets and Braves last season. During his 24-game stint in Atlanta, the 30-year-old slashed .328/.400/.629 with four homers and 15 RBI.
He's capable of manning multiple infield positions, though he's primarily featured as a shortstop throughout his career. Hechavarria, somewhat of a journeyman, has spent time with the Blue Jays, Marlins, Rays, Pirates, Yankees, Mets and Braves.
While he ultimately will be placed into a bench role, he could be a valuable addition should someone go down with injury. While his bat leaves a bit to be desired, he offers elite defensive production and has plenty of experience in the league.
