Braves' SunTrust Park Could Be Set to Receive a New Name
By Sean Facey

Just two years into its lifespan, the Atlanta Braves' new stadium might soon be renamed.
The bank merger of SunTrust and BB&T likely means that SunTrust Park will be renamed to bear the 'Truist' title as the stadium will re-brand to the updated name of now-joined banks.
The Braves stadium will still be known as SunTrust Park through the end of this season and possibly next season before the ballpark is rechristened with the Truist name. https://t.co/HUxGWtsDch

The current name will stay in place through the end of the 2019 season and possibly through 2020, after which it will be replaced with the new title.
It would mean that the sign that welcomes fans to the wonders of Braves baseball 81 times per year will have lasted for, at most, all of four seasons.
Fans don't seem particularly enthused by the impending change. The switch hasn't even been made yet and some are already handing it the dubious title of being the worst-named ballpark.
LOLOLOL the Braves are almost certainly gonna play in "Truist Park." That'd easily be the worst-named park in baseball and not even particularly close. https://t.co/R7wAdXL4Js

The stadium situation for the Braves has been a bit interesting over the past few decades. The team left Turner Field for SunTrust Park after spending just 22 years at the former. And now the latter could be in for a name change.
Will Braves fans ever be allowed to get comfortable calling their stadium by one name?
