A weekend series in Flushing opens this evening with Braves phenom Mike Soroka returning to the place where he made his first-ever MLB start one year ago. This time, however, his opponent is one of the fiercest in the game: reigning NL Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom, whose New York Mets aim to return to their winning ways against the first-place visitors in the friendly confines of the newly-christened "41 Seaver Way."

Despite sporting a humble 4-6 record on the year, deGrom put down the Braves just 10 days ago, tossing 8.1 innings of two-run ball at SunTrust Park. He's overcome his slow start to the season with a series of complete performances, but it's never an easy out facing a Braves lineup with two newly-minted All-Star starters in Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuña.
