Braves Lineup

The Atlanta Braves have been on a roll of late, winners of eight of their last 10 games, and holding onto a 4.5-game lead in the NL East. Several players in Atlanta's lineup are having excellent seasons at the plate, including Ronald Acuña Jr., who has followed up his outstanding rookie campaign with a .293 average, 17 homers, and an .878 OPS out of the leadoff spot for the Braves. Freddie Freeman has continued to mash, batting .315 with 21 homers and a 1.009 OPS, putting himself in the MVP conversation and cementing himself as the best first baseman in all of baseball. Austin Riley has been a breakout star as a rookie with a .292 average, 11 homers, and .955 OPS in just 130 at-bats. Dallas Keuchel has been recalled for Friday's game and will make his Braves debut on the mound.

Nationals Lineup

The Nationals have been one of the most disappointing teams in baseball this year, but have certainly been playing better baseball of late, winning four in a row. Anthony Rendon has been leading the charge on offense during his contract year, batting .314 with 17 homers and a 1.062 OPS. Juan Soto has also been hot at the plate. The 2018 Rookie of the Year runner-up is batting .364 with a 1.032 OPS in his last 30 games. Howie Kendrick is also enjoying a career year, with a .339 average and .994 OPS. The Nationals will send Stephen Strasburg to the mound Friday, looking for his eighth win on the season.
