Braves vs Phillies MLB Live Stream for Saturday Showdown
By Parker White
After struggling a bit, the Atlanta Braves began a road trip last night against the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies, where they trounced them by a 9-2 score. Atlanta's win didn't come without a loss, however, as Nick Markakis fractured his wrist and is headed to the injured list, along with Dansby Swanson. Can Philly bounce back and play a slop-free game against a short-handed Braves team?
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET at Citizens Bank Park. The game will be televised locally on FOX Sports South and NBC 10, with live streams of the game available via the MLB Streams subreddit.
Braves Lineup
Atlanta will have a really different look Saturday evening, as Ronald Acuña Jr. will remain in the leadoff spot but play right field in place of Nick Markakis. Adam Duvall and his minor league-leading 29 home runs will start in left field and bat sixth.
Johan Camargo will continue to start at shortstop in place of Dansby Swanson, but for this contest, he's batting fifth behind Josh Donaldson.
Left-hander Max Fried is off the injured list and will start Saturday. In 21 starts this season, Fried is 10-4 with a 4.08 ERA. However, his last time out against the Milwaukee Brewers, he tossed five shutout innings before landing on the shelf with a blister.
Phillies Lineup
Along with their retro uniforms, the Phillies and manager Gabe Kapler are shaking up the bottom of the lineup, including having the pitcher bat eighth.
Outfielder Roman Quinn will bat ninth and start in center field Saturday over Scott Kingery, who is playing second base and still leading off. Sean Rodriguez will get the start in left field and bat seventh.
Right-hander Zach Eflin will toe the mound for Philadelphia, who in 19 starts this season has a 7-10 record with a 4.25 ERA. Eflin faced Atlanta earlier this month and only lasted three innings where he allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks.
