Braves Will Re-Evaluate Dansby Swanson's Injured Heel This Week
By Parker White

It's been a little over a week when the Atlanta Braves placed outfielder Nick Markakis and shortstop Dansby Swanson on the injured list. They know Markakis won't be returning at least until some time in September, but they were optimistic that Swanson would return before their upcoming road trip.
Unfortunately, Swanson didn't come back this weekend, and according to manager Brian Snitker, the infielder will spend the next few days receiving treatment on his injured heel.
Snitker said Swanson (bruised right heel) will spend the next few days receiving treatment here in Atlanta. So, it doesn't sound like he'll be activated before next weekend's series in Miami.

Atlanta will begin their road trip on Monday against the Minnesota Twins and they won't return until Sunday after their four-game set in Miami. The way it's looking, Swanson will be re-evaluated "in the next two or three days" and will miss, at the very least, the start of their road trip.

The Braves still have a healthy lead in the NL East, so there's no reason to rush Swanson back. However, backup Johan Camargo has struggled at the plate, and with the team's recent struggles with runners in scoring position, Swanson's absence is really showing.
