BREAKING: Cowboys DL Robert Quinn Suspended for PED Violation
By Parker White
What an unfortunate last 24 hours it has been for Dallas Cowboys defensive end Robert Quinn.
First, he suffered a fractured hand in training camp, and now he's been suspended by the NFL for two games for violating the leagues performance-enhancing substances policy.
Quinn's agent, Sean Kiernan, released a statement that claims his client has been suspended by the league for testing positive for a substance that is found in medication he takes for seizures.
Quinn had surgery to repair his fractured hand and was expected to be ready for Week 1, but now that's he's been handed a suspension, he won't be available for the first couple games.
The former first-round pick spent most of his career with the Rams before being dealt to the Miami Dolphins last year. He was then traded this offseason to Dallas for a 2020 sixth-round pick, giving the Cowboys another pass-rusher off the edge.
Now, Quinn will have plenty of time to get that hand healthy before he can help this Cowboys team.
