BREAKING: Harry Kane in Starting XI for Tottenham in UEFA Champions League Final
By Austin Pert
It looked as though Harry Kane's season would be over after he injured his ankle in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester City on April 9.
But Spurs were able to extend their season into the final day of the European Football season, to the grand finale in all of club football, and the English striker is back in the squad.
Kane will serve as the striker for Spurs, with Heung-Min Son, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli supporting him right behind.
Through 28 Premier League fixtures in 2018-19, Kane scored 17 goals and recorded four assists. He's also had five goals in eight UCL matches this season.
Tottenham isn't the only side in this match with their full squad, with Liverpool getting Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino back after they both missed the historic win against Barcelona in the second leg of the competition's semifinals.
The Reds beat the North London team twice in league play, both by 2-1 margins, with the March 31 match being decided by a 90th minute own goal from Spurs' Toby Alderweireld.
