BREAKING: Hawks Trade Kent Bazemore to Trail Blazers for Evan Turner
By Parker White

The NBA offseason is heating up!
The Portland Trail Blazers have reportedly traded Evan Turner to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Kent Bazemore.
There appears to be no picks or other lesser pieces heading either way. It's a straight one-for-one swap, at the moment.

Both players signed four-year, $70 million deals back in July 2016, so from a financial standpoint neither team is getting much of an edge. However, they both bring different things to the table, as Turner is bigger guy who create offense for himself and others, while Bazemore brings more of a defensive element and can knock down three-pointers.
Both have expiring deals. Bazemore’s contract is about 600k more than Turner’s. Interested to see if there’s more to this trade. #ripcity https://t.co/AV2hB4hKCt

Both Turner and Bazemore are entering the final years of their contracts. You wonder if there will end up being more to this trade, but as it stands it's a straight swap with the hope that a change of scenery helps both of these guys as both teams look to retool for different reasons.
