BREAKING: Julian Edelman Reportedly Closing in on Multi-Year Contract Extension With Patriots
By Sam Dunn

Julian Edelman would be nuts to want to leave New England at any time and for any reason. That's why Tuesday morning's breaking news arrives as no surprise.
According to insider Mike Garafolo, the wide receiver is close to agreeing to a new contract with the Patriots that will keep him in Foxborough for the remainder of his NFL career.
Sources: The #Patriots are finalizing a multi-year contract extension with Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman that should keep him in New England for the rest of his career. Tom Brady’s security blanket is now locked in for his 10th season and beyond.

Not bad for a converted college quarterback, eh?
Edelman's singular importance to Tom Brady and the Pats cannot be overstated. The 32-year-old has won three Super Bowl titles since being drafted in the seventh round back in 2009, and was named MVP of the big game just a few short months ago.
Oh, and his birthday is tomorrow.

On top of it all, Edelman officially completed his bachelor's degree at Kent State University this week. All told, calendar year 2019 has a chance to be the best one yet for the Bearded One.
And it starts with a chance, at long last, to get paid what he's really worth by the team he's given everything to over the past decade.
