Early Tuesday morning, ESPN's Jeff Passan reported that Major League Baseball and the MLBPA are looking into a plan that could bring baseball back as early as May. The plan would require players to stay in a veritable "bubble" for several months in order to avoid contracting or spreading coronavirus, all while playing every game at various sites in Arizona.

Brett Anderson of the Milwaukee Brewers wasn't a fan of that idea, and he voiced his disapproval on Twitter. After you read his complaint, it becomes clear he won't be the only player with this take.

He highlighted a passage from the article that explained how players don't want to have to be away from their families, and it's exactly right.

It's an extremely difficult time for everyone right now. People want to be safe with their families, no matter who they are. As much as fans and owners would like to see some baseball right now, that just isn't safe, and it doesn't appear we're ready to turn the corner without making serious concessions. Anderson's simple reasoning is borderline common sense. Entertainment and meeting a bottom line are never going to be worth separating players and families for months on end during a global pandemic. Mike Trout's wife is set to give birth this August. He's supposed to stay in the bubble and miss that?

It isn't the first time the Brewers pitcher has taken to Twitter to question the league's statements regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

In time, baseball will be back. Things are going to recover and return to some degree of normalcy. It's probably going to take a while. Though quarantine can make us all a little antsy, rushing to put together a hair-brained scheme that will separate people from the ones they love and put others at risk isn't something we should be considering.
