Brewers Leave Cincinnati in Full 'Dodgeball' Costumes for Final Road Trip of Season

The Milwaukee Brewers celebrated clinching an NL Wild Card spot last night, but their fun isn't over quite yet.

After Thursday's win against the Reds, several Brewers rookies dressed up in outfits paying homage to "Dodgeball," the 2004 film that pitted unassuming Average Joe's against the evil Globo Gym.

The Brewers even had a mini dodgeball battle in the clubhouse before heading to Colorado.

It is not known if anyone threw a wrench.

In the past, rookies were forced to dress up in women's clothing or all manner of costumes typically a size or two too small. However, that part of the rookie hazing tradition was banned by MLB in 2016. That was a good idea-- and simply gave teams an opportunity to get creative.

Not to be outdone, Miami Marlins rookies dressed in in various Disney and Mario Kart-themed getups.

Not bad.

The San Francisco Giants dressed their rookies in "Reno 911!" costumes earlier this month.

Even though the Brewers have more to celebrate this week than the Marlins or Giants, all 30 teams should be able to celebrate the conclusion fo a long season and have some fun on one last road trip together.
