Sogard will play his 10th MLB season in 2020 after spending time with the Brewers in both 2017 and 2018. Sogard recorded a .393 on-base percentage in 94 games with the 2018 Brewers, who came within one win of reaching the World Series.

The veteran then had a career renaissance at the plate with the Rays and Toronto Blue Jays in 2019.
In 110 games last season with Toronto and Tampa Bay, Eric Sogard at age 33 had career highs of 13 HRs, 40 RBI, .290 batting average and .810 OPS.

Milwaukee's front office continues to do more with less. After losing Mike Moustakas to the Cincinnati Reds on a $64 million deal, David Steans has rebounded nicely, adding Ryon Healy, Luis Urias, Avisail Garcia and now Sogard either on cheap deals or via trade.
