Brewers Reveal 25-Man Roster for NL Wild Card Game Tilt With Nationals
By Thomas Carannante
The NL Wild Card Game is officially set.
The Washington Nationals released their 25-man roster for Tuesday's one-game playoff against the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Brew Crew followed suit shortly after.
Check out who they'll be rolling with tonight in the must-win showdown:
The Christian Yelich-less squad is ready for battle. The cast of pitchers should give fans confidence that Milwaukee has more than enough arm power to get through this game.
As for the expected starting lineup, we can expect to see Lorenzo Cain, Keston Hiura, Mike Moustakas, Eric Thames, Trent Grisham, Yasmani Grandal, Ryan Braun and Brandon Woodruff out there.
They'll be tasked with taking down Max Scherzer.
If the Brewers can get to him early, they'll be in great shape given their shutdown bullpen. The Nats will likely use multiple starters if Scherzer doesn't go deep into this one, which will pose another challenge for Milwaukee, but it could be advantageous in the sense that Stephen Strasburg and Patrick Corbin aren't familiar with coming on in relief.
Expect a high-stakes NL Wild Card game on Tuesday night between two talented rosters.
