Brewers Sign First Baseman Logan Morrison

Following a borderline nonexistent 2019 campaign split between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees' systems, veteran first baseman Logan Morrison will be signing with the Milwaukee Brewers in an effort to rejuvenate his career.
Morrison spent the majority of last season in the Yankees' minor league system, before requesting his release and signing with Philadelphia towards the tail end of the season.

Milwaukee is in desperate need of left-handed hitting following the departure of Eric Thames, Travis Shaw, and Mike Moustakas. With the addition of Lo-Mo, as well as switch-hitting Justin Smoak (complementing the righty Ryon Healy), balance may have been restored to the Brewers' lineup.

In a relatively quiet offseason for Milwaukee, the addition of Morrison could be one of the team's better moves -- that is, if he can play anywhere near the level he was at in 2017 when he mashed 38 home runs.
While he's never hit for a very high average (career mark of just .239), the addition of Morrison was a wise buy-low move by a Milwaukee team that was left reeling this offseason.
