Brewers Sign Former Pirates Third Baseman Jung Ho Kang
By Michael Luciano

Former Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman Jung Ho Kang was not out of work for long, as a division rival came in to nab him as they gear up for a run at the postseason.
Kang signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers after being DFA'd by Pittsburgh in the middle of an extremely disappointing season.

Kang has already reported to Milwaukee's Triple-A affiliate, the San Antonio Missions, which occurred before knowledge of the deal had even become public.

Kang, who dazzled with two fine seasons in 2015 and 2016 after coming over from the KBO's Nexen Heroes, has managed a puny .169 average this season and an OPS+ of 56.
Kang missed almost all of the two prior seasons after his visa was revoked following a DUI charge. Pair that with a sexual assault claim made against him in 2016, and Kang's off-field issues became more than just a serious red flag.
Jung Ho Kang finishes his Pirates career in an 0-14 slump including 5 strikeouts in a row . Call me crazy but i feel he can still play at a very high level and will be back in the big leagues #Pirates @937theFan #LetsGoBucs

While the power is still there, Kang should be viewed as nothing more than a lottery ticket the Brewers are hoping to cash in when September rolls around to help win them a game here and there.
