The Milwaukee Brewers (57-53) head to Chicago on Friday to take on the Cubs (57-51) in the first of a three-game set. This series could be crucial in determining the NL Central champion, as the two teams battle (along with the St. Louis Cardinals) for supremacy within the division.
How to Live Stream the Brewers-Cubs
First pitch is scheduled for 2:20 PM ET from Wrigley Field and will be televised on NBCSCH and FSWI, as well as on the MLB Network. The game can also be viewed on the MLB Streams subreddit.
The Cubs are fresh off an 8-0 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals, who hold a 1-game division lead over Chicago. The Brewers also lost Thursday, as the Oakland Athletics came out with a 5-3 victory.
Brewers Lineup
The Brewers preseason top prospect Keston Hiura will look to make some noise on his 23rd birthday. The rookie second baseman has lived up to his billing since being called back up in May, as he sports a .318 average, .989 OPS and has rocketed 11 home runs in 190 plate appearances. In his last 15 games, the three-hole hitter is batting .358 with 11 RBI.
26-year-old right hander Zach Davies will take the mound for the Brewers, looking for a fresh start after back-to-back brutal outings. Despite pitching well for the majority of the season, the hurler gave up seven runs in each of his last two starts, pitching just nine total innings between them.
Cubs Lineup
Trade deadline addition Nicholas Castellanos will appear in his second game with his new club, batting second and playing right field. The veteran utility man managed the Cubs' only hit in his debut with the team Thursday night. He's surrounded by Jason Heyward and Kris Bryant in the order. Willson Contreras will see himself hit out of the seven-hole, behind Kyle Schwarber.
Jose Quintana takes the mound for the Cubs looking to buck his own recent struggles. Since June 22, Quintana has a 6.00 ERA in 6 starts. On the year, the 30-year-old is 8-7 with a 4.47 ERA and 98 strikeouts.
