Brian Cashman isn't over the Astros cheating in 2017

The New York Yankees haven't been to the World Series since 2009 and fans are starting to lose patience. Things got even worse last year when NY lost to Boston in the AL Wild Card showdown.
If you ask Cashman, though, this team should have been in the Fall Classic back in 2017. No one has forgotten about Houston's sign-stealing scandal, and this includes Cashman. He's using that as an excuse for NY not making the World Series. Really?
The 2017 Astros’ title doesn’t have an asterisk.

Fans are bashing Cashman for this. While what the Astros did was wrong, that's not the only reason New York hasn't tasted World Series glory in so long.
