Brian McCann Reached Career Milestone With Clutch Single Against Phillies
By Mark Powell

What a career it's been for Brian McCann. The longtime Braves catcher is back in Atlanta where he truly belongs. On Friday night with the game on the line, McCann delivered in a big way, notching two more RBIs which just so happened to be the game-winners for the Braves.
With that, McCann has now registered 1,000 RBIs for his career. Not bad for the 35-year-old.
Not a bad way to get career RBI's 999 and 1000. Congrats Brian McCann!!!! #Braves https://t.co/zGt0ReqRXU

McCann last made the All-Star team in 2013, and at this point in his career can't be relied upon nearly as heavily as in years past. Nonetheless, he's a powerful voice in the clubhouse and can help lead this team into the postseason with timely knocks, which McCann displayed on Friday night.

Considering McCann's personality, he likely had no idea he reached this mark. Instead, the 6-time Silver Slugger Award winner appeared more concerned with ensuring an Atlanta win in front of his fans at SunTrust Park.
