Brian Snitker's Comment Makes it Clear He Doesn't Love Josh Donaldson's Umbrella Celebration
By Chris Russo

Bob Barker would not be amused.
Josh Donaldson, the “Bringer of Rain”, embraced his title beginning Saturday with his home run celebration of carrying an invisible umbrella around the bases. Manager Brian Snitker was less than thrilled.
#Braves’ Snitker saw the Donaldson umbrella celebration for first time today. Shook his head, said “We’re not that far from Happy Gilmore running around the bases.”

Okay, while this is certainly showing off your enthusiasm, it’s quite tame compared to the celebrations directed at the Braves (i.e. Jose Bautista’s and Carlos Gomez’s very slow trots around the base path).
Snitker also has a point, though, considering he doesn’t quite want his team to sink to that level.
The guy is old school. It almost seems like Bobby Cox never really retired.
I cannot begin to explain how much I love Josh Donaldson carrying an imaginary umbrella around the bases after he homers now. pic.twitter.com/kpLDboA1Ll

While fans may be head over heels for Donaldson's creative new home run trot, his manager may want him to nip it in the bud. While we're all for players celebrating their home runs, Snitker seems to think this is taking things a bit far.
And we've seen a lot of home runs from Donaldson's bat of late. The slugger has 34 on the year and has belted five homers in his past 13 games.
We'll have to wait and see if Donaldson continues utilizing his new celebration.
