This Broncos-Browns Draft Day Trade Could Net Them Jerry Jeudy or CeeDee Lamb
By Michael Luciano
The Denver Broncos went into the offseason knowing that they needed to get Drew Lock some support at wide receiver, and they have the opportunity to do so by trading up in the 2020 NFL Draft to land an elite prospect.
According to Michael Lombardi, Denver is trying to trade up to at least the No. 10 pick in the draft, as they could get their pick of either Alabama's Jerry Jeudy or Oklahoma's CeeDee Lamb ahead of teams like the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders.
The Cleveland Browns, a potential trade partner, own the No. 10 pick in the draft, and they would require a third-round pick, of which Denver has multiple, plus the Broncos No. 15 selection, to move down in the draft.
Denver trading up over receiver needy-teams like the Jets and Raiders guarantees that they will have their pick of the best receivers in the class, while one of the best offensive tackles in the draft could still fall to Cleveland at pick No. 15. The mid-round pick allows them to bolster their secondary in the middle rounds.
Lock and new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur will certainly be happy to see that Denver could land a potential Pro Bowler right out of the gate in either Jeudy or Lamb, provided that John Elway is aggressive enough and willing to surrender some quality picks to land one of them.
