The success that Denver Broncos rookie gunslinger Drew Lock has seen since taking over the reins at Mile High has been one of the more compelling storylines of the final month of the NFL regular season.

Lock etched his name into the Broncos record books following his defeat of the Detroit Lions in Week 16, becoming the first QB in franchise to win three of his first four games on center. But what if we told you that wasn't even the most poignant narrative surrounding the Missouri product to emerge this week?

That's right, ladies and gents. Lock turned to inspirational quotes from both team exec John Elway and... yes, Winston Freakin' Churchill while recovering from a sprained right thumb this offseason.

The quotes? "Don’t take this as a vacation year," uttered by Elway.

The second: "To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour," straight from the iconic British Prime Minister..

Such a random pairing, yet so amazing.

What's even more crazy is that Lock admitted to taping that Churchill quote to his bathroom mirror so that he'd see it every day.

This is the greatest piece of news we never thought we needed to stumble across. It's confirmed, folks. We are now officially hopping aboard the Lock hype train.
