VIDEO: Drew Lock Shares Funny Story About Going Back Home to Face the Chiefs as Their Rival
By Jerry Trotta
If Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock were to go back home to the state of Missouri to play a round of golf, you would think that he would receive a warm welcome, right? Well, not exactly. During an Instagram Live video on Friday night, the 2019 second-round pick shared a hilarious story about how KC has treated him now that he's an AFC West rival of the Chiefs.
No hard feelings? Being denied water at the golf course is just cruel, and it also might be illegal.
When you really think about it, fans in Kansas City shouldn't show any love to the Missouri Tigers alum, who led the Broncos to a 4-1 record as a rookie after taking over for Joe Flacco last season. Denver has also made it a point to equip the 23-year-old with as much talent as possible.
After signing running back Melvin Gordon, the team selected Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy at No. 15 overall in the NFL Draft and Penn State wideout KJ Hamler in the second round.
The Broncos have a long way to go to get on the same level as the Chiefs, but the future is definitely bright in Denver. Sorry, Lock, but this is how it's going to be during your homecomings from now on.
