Broncos Head Coach Vic Fangio Hoping to Coach Tonight Despite Being in Hospital With Kidney Stone
By Thomas Carannante

Vic Fangio is about to enter his first year as a head coach in the NFL after his impressive work as defensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears.
However, there's a chance he misses first game with the Denver Broncos during Thursday night's Hall of Fame Game against the Atlanta Falcons because he's reportedly in the hospital with a kidney stone.
Broncos’ HC Vic Fangio, scheduled to make his HC debut tonight vs Atlanta in Hall-Of-Fane game, spent a good part of the day in a Cleveland hospital with a kidney stone, per source. Fangio has not passed it yet, but he is doing better and he will try to coach tonight.

But don't worry, Broncos fans, he's going to try and stick it out and be on the field tonight. What a guy.
That's the kind of energy the Broncos need after three straight playoff-less seasons. Fangio was brought in to provide a breath of fresh air and a defense-first approach after Vance Joseph failed miserably in both of those departments.

If the team can rally around anything, it'll be their new head coach standing on the sideline tonight after spending a good portion of the day in the hospital trying to pass a kidney stone.
