Broncos Reportedly Release Kevin Hogan Out of Nowhere
Well, just like that, the quarterback depth for the Denver Broncos is looking downright atrocious.
Per reports out of Denver, the Broncos have surprisingly made the decision to part ways with quarterback Kevin Hogan. Did fans see this coming at all?
With Hogan now gone, that leaves former Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien as the team's No. 2 signal caller. Rookie signal caller Drew Lock suffered a sprained thumb earlier this month and has been sidelined ever since.
According to head coach Vic Fangio, a trip to the injured reserve to start the season isn't out of the question for his first-year quarterback.
In Denver's final preseason game, a win over Arizona, Hogan went 12-of-23 for 138 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Rypien completed eight passes for 86 yards and an INT.
Joe Flacco is locked in as the team's starter, but if he were to suffer an injury, it'd quickly become the Rypien show in Denver.
