Brooklyn Nets Reportedly Sign Former Cavs Standout David Nwaba to 2-Year Deal
By Adam Weinrib

The Nets have reportedly added more trademark toughness to their squad on Sunday morning.
After the offseason quieted down just a bit, BK supplemented their core a little further by importing former Cavs guard and tenacious defender David Nwaba on a two-year deal.

Nwaba, someone Cleveland certainly would've liked to bring back, posted strong full seasons with the Bulls and Cavs the past two years, after debuting in Los Angeles with the Lakers in 2016-17. Though he averaged just 6.5 points per game for a low-tier team last season, Nwaba shot 48%, and brought the Nets mentality to the court before ever joining the team.
I like this a lot. Nwaba is tough, can defend at a high level and has worked on his shot. This is a textbook Nets signing. https://t.co/B37bX5QyoQ

This move is directly in line with the way their roster and culture was built prior to the star-chasing summer of '19, and it's a stark indication they plan on maintaining a similar brand, even while fronted by Kyrie Irving and (eventually) Kevin Durant.
