Brother of Saints Star Vonn Bell Killed in Car Accident

New Orleans Saints safety Vonn Bell received tragic news on Sunday, losing his brother Volonte Bell in a car crash on Interstate 24 in their hometown of Chattanooga, Tenn.
Volonte Bell worked as an assistant coach at Chattanooga State and an assistant basketball coach at Red Bank High School.

Volonte Bell was reportedly driving a Honda Civic in the middle lane behind a Volvo truck towing a trailer. Shortly after, the accident took his life.

"I spoke with his mother this morning and she was trying to be strong, but this is just a very sad day for all of us who knew him," Chattanooga State assistant athletic director and men's head basketball coach Jay Price said via NewsChannel 9. "Volonte was just a positive, energetic guy who was always upbeat. Anybody who met him will tell you the first thing you always noticed was his smile and that's the thing a lot of us will remember him for."
According to Price, this year was most likely Volonte Bell's last season coaching at Chattanooga State, citing his talent as too great not to move up.
